Happy Easter!

Ok so the weather is awful, typical bank holiday weather but at least the nights are brighter now and we have a few days off work to spend with the family, enjoy ourselves and relax. Oh and eat chocolate. As far as decorating the house is concerned, Easter is now a close second to Christmas with people decorating in much the same way, so here are a few ideas I styled when I was at Woman & home magazine, plus some others, to make your Easter special.

Nothing beats a pretty table centre and it doesn't take a lot - a stripy candle, some egg cups with Spring flowers in them and some baby chicks giselagraham.co.uk womandandhome.com

Set the table with a bowl at each place setting with a chick inside! Add flowers, including blossom picked from the garden, some colourful glassware and tie pretty ribbons and painted eggs from the chair backs womanandhome.com

A lovely arrangement that could sit on the hall table to welcome guests. Buy or get a florist to make a nest from twigs and pussy willow and fill with straw, various eggs and fresh flowers, they won't last long but they look so lovely. womandhome.com

A traditional Simnel-style cake is perfect at Easter, put mini eggs in a bowl, a pot of flowers and some plush bunnies on the table, bunny shaped paper plates add a fun touch. talkingtables.co.uk

Really the day should start with breakfast in bed, with eggs and soldiers of course! Eggcups are from giselagraham.co.uk womanandhome.com

Another simple idea, little flowers and moss in pretty tea cups. womanandhome.com

A table fully dressed for Easter. Glass cloches and domes really come into their own at Easter. Make sure you have plenty of mini eggs and pretty ribbons homesense.com

Such a lovely table setting idea, buy or make personalised biscuits, tie ric rac braid around a napkin and wait for compliments. Biscuits by prettytasty.co.uk womanandhome.com
