Cool, Inspiring Bathrooms

There is nothing like a new bathroom, or even a revamp, yes its expensive to do, but you spend a lot of time in there, so indulge yourself. Here are a few inspirational looks I have seen lately that you can take ideas from. I hope you like them too.

Oooooohhh how nice is this? The facing wall looks like rock strata with a big slab of it as a surface for the basins - and those basins! Aren't they gorgeous? More like bowls and I love the way the taps are on each side, visually its so much better. A huge, black framed mirror with what look like pipes holding it up for an industrial vibe. And for contrast, grey concrete side walls with cut outs which I assume have shelves for storage. The small pendant lights look incredible too. A real stunner. The Watermark Collection

This is more about the wall really, but it is fab. A sort of 3D mosaic in a classic colour combination of ochre, grey and white. I like the wall hung loo (easy to clean beneath) and the dark grey vanity unit. Love the concrete floor too. Just shows that the combination of simple pieces and clever decoration is what makes the statement Catalano

More of a classic look but looks amazing too. You can't go wrong with monochrome, it works really well in a bathroom. The floor is the hero, such a fantastic design and I like the shininess too. A big, floor-standing, dove grey, vanity unit will store all the ugly stuff, with more storage above for all the things you use every day. I like the different wall finishes. I can't tell if the dark grey is concrete, stone or faux wall planking, then the loo wall is recessed and has those ever popular Victorian brick tiles - I don't think they will ever go out of fashion - I hope not, I have bought some for my kitchen! Then the far wall is pale grey paint with a tall storage unit. Britton Bathrooms

I can see this on the top floor of an Edwardian house, maybe in London. Its a nod to a period feel with the roll-top bath but the wallpaper brings it bang up to date. The colours are great, a sort of blueberry colour on the bath and vanity unit - isn't it about time someone thought of a better name than vanity unit? - anyway I digress. And double basins, which seem to be a big trend at the moment. The floor is such a contrast, but it works, and my favourite bit? that pop of yellow on the radiator - inspired. Soak.com

I love this shot, so simple, but it looks stunning. Its the dark colours that does it, and the stand out taps. I am not sure I could live with a lot of very dark rooms but the odd wall like this is perfect. Would be great in a cloakroom. Ripples

Another cloakroom idea, and another stunning wall idea. Gorgeous metallic tiles in a random combination of steel, lead and copper. With a small, wall mounted sink unit and the most amazing shelf and mirror combination above. Geberit

Quite a simple look but that yellow sink unit makes it - there seems to be a theme here..... It looks like its floating and I like the way the low basin seems to be sitting on top. Huge matt tiles in the shower really have an impact too. Simple but lovely. Roman showers

Just a basin shot, but again its the wall tiles that make the impact. These are such a great shape and in a wonderful abalone colourway. The black fossil stone basin really sets them off. Original Style

More double basins but inset into a fab unit. I really like this. In a great colour, storage for towels in the bottom drawer, a shelf and then that stunning round wall mirror cabinet that breaks in the middle. Oodles of storage in a small space and stylish with it. C P Hart
