Bedroom Beauties Our bedrooms have become our sanctuary, our place to escape from the world. Thinkin

Wall murals are big news at the moment and so is this colour. I love the look of this room, it feels like you are hidden in a forest. Dreamy. A simple headboard doesn't detract from the walls

Go for a classical look with a winged and buttoned headboard on an upholstered bed. In a lovely soft taupe shade that will go with everything, but using lettuce green as a hit of colour. Old master and statue optional

Victorian metal frame beds are making a comeback and this one is a lovely dull dull brass colour. There is a bit of a chinoiserie feel to the walls and bedside cabinet. Dark blue and saffron make a great combo, with retro, round pleated cushions to mix it up.

Sooo relaxing. In shades of pearl grey. A wooden, carved, painted bed in a classic style is dressed with bedding in the same colour with blackberry as an accent on the cushions and throw. Note the black painted french door and dark grey silk curtains as contrast

Monochrome rules with a stylish Scandi print and a wave design on the reverse. Build up the look with a quilted bedspread that looks almost 3D and add in black and white cushions in dashes and stripes. A barely-there yellow piped edge is picked up in the flowers and vase

A lovely look for Autumn with a leaf pattern border on one side and a ditsy print on the reverse. It looks fab against a petrol blue painted headboard and teamed with unusual accents of dark green on the lampshade and a wine coloured throw. It shouldn't work, but it does.

A restful palette of palest duck egg on a plain upholstered bed is the epitome of calm. Keep bedding simple with pattern added in small cushions, and

Another Autumnal look with a trailing leaves design in grey and ochre. The low profile bed would work well in a small room or a room with low ceilings Add a chunky throw and a smoked glass light and pull the scheme together with a cushion to match the alcove wall

Wouldn't you just love this bedroom? Ok it's the location that makes it, but I can dream can't I? With the wind howling outside you could snuggle up in here with fur cushions and throws. A wooden bed with an upholstered headboard blends perfectly with the feature wooden wall.
