Time To De-Clutter

Spring is on it's way finally, so it's time to think about clearing the decks and ditching the clutter - you know you want to - and it gives you such a good feeling once you have done it! Practical and Mindful at the same time. Here's a few stylish ideas to inspire you.

Love this company, and they do such cool stuff. It could have been made in the 60's but its bang up to date. It's a system, so you can create your own arrangement, add to it, move things around. It's the kind of thing you will have forever. String system in walnut from £72

Now that is what I call a coffee table - sturdy, stylish and with 2 shelves and a drawer - perfect. Pyers coffee table, £379

An old classic brought right up to date. An upholstered ottoman, the top lifts off so you can store all sorts of things inside, ideal for the sitting room or bedroom. Mandeville ottoman from £468

Hallways are always tricky due to their size, unless you live in a mansion of course. I think this storage shelf is brilliant. It doesn't take up much space but the baskets are big enough for all sorts of stuff. Add a coat hook and its the perfect combination.

Small bedroom? You need a storage bed, and this one is really stylish. A simple design so it won't look too fussy in a small space, in a fab on-trend pale pink, and with drawers! Ideal for storing spare bedding. Tight Space storage bed from £495 with Piper tall headboard from £325

Isn't this a great shot? Who needs kitchen wall units? OK, I know, but I still love this. A long, Shaker style, oak peg rail against a dramatic, black tiled wall to hang lots of gorgeous things from and above an equally gorgeous table. Sigh......Large oak peg rail, £65

Another bedroom storage idea. A shelf unit behind the bed that is also part of the headboard. It doesn't take up a lot of space in the room and means there is oodles of space for those things you need to hand. Echoed above with storage boxes in the same wood. Love It. Super Storage Bedframe, £575 and all other items,

Ooooo love a polished concrete floor! Another hallway idea, a funky peg rail with hooks, a shelf for post and keys, a MIRROR, then a neat stool with a storage box beneath - every home should have one. John Lewis Design Project
