Luscious Lighting

As a result of doing up my bedroom I have been looking at a lot of lights recently, they have changed such a lot and there is so much more choice, its incredible when you think how dull lighting used to be, and there are lots more designer styles at reasonable prices, so fill your boots and check out some of my faves.

A simple modern style, but in 3 different finishes, and they are called Hattermorn _ geddit? pendants. The floor lamp is a great 50's shape too, aptly named Bow tie, just perfect with that Eames chair. Pooky.com

I think this is a great idea for over a side table, where no-one will walk into it! A fantastic geo design but transparent too, a true statement piece. Long pendant has a metal frame with a suede like cord weave, Alp Design

Hem are such a great new company, Scandi of course, they make simple pieces but with oodles of style. The great thing about these lights is that you can create your own from different shapes, sizes and colours to suit your rooms Alphabeta lights, Hem

Another well known Scandi company, Normann Copenhagen, with a really interesting Bau pendant light made up of interconnecting Linden wood pieces that you put together yourself, its more of a sculpture really, mind you, I wouldn't fancy dusting it......Insidestoreldn.com

I first discovered Curiosa & Curiosa at Decorex and their lights are always easy to spot. They work in glass, often coloured and come up with some great designs and shapes. These Siren wall lights look like eyes! And look fantastic next to that oval mirror and above the vanity unit.

Maisons du Monde are one of those companies that produce designer lighting at great prices, and this Orbe cluster glass pendant is a great example. In on-trend monochrome, this is a great light for a sitting room or for over a dining table.

More often known for their furniture, French Connection also produce some fantastic lighting, just like this one, a simple pendant becomes something special with the glass balls cascading underneath. A great mix of shiny metals too. Bauble pendant light in iron and glass.

Dar Lighting are another one of my go-to places for interesting, well-priced lighting. I love the shape of this one, called Bombazine, it reminds me of trumpets weirdly and its a similar style to the one I am going to use in the bedroom - just waiting for it to arrive! Exciting!

I love these glass lights I saw at Design Week recently and such a nice lady! Sarah Colson, and even better you can buy these at Debenhams! If you haven't been to Debenhams lately, they've got some amazing lights
