You're Making Me Blush
Blush, millenial pink, call it what you will, but this colour is an ongoing, and stylish trend. It's a colour that is calming, but can also look industrial - think unfinished pink plaster walls..... it doesn't have to be pretty-pretty or sickly, and it ranges from sugar pink to blush to apricot, and it's so forgiving, such an easy colour to live with. So dive in.....
These unfinished plaster walls vary from pink through apricot with a bit of cream thrown in. I love the different shades on the wall and the rough wood table, rattan dining chair and floor lamp which really suit this look. Finished off with a Turkish rug in shades of terracotta frenchconnection
More bare plastered walls but a much deeper red, verging on crimson, it looks like an Autumnal landscape. Crumpled linen bedding in a rich rose, with a grey wool bed and grey pillowcases, finished off with a touch of apricot on the cushions. Sublime. Hadley ottoman bedframe, £699 Furniture Village
Grey and pink work so well together, the pink softening the dark grey. I love the shape of these armchairs, a sort of 30's/50's mix in shape. A statement pendant in a ribboned design and covered in linen makes an impact and cushions in brick, ochre and navy shouldn't work, but they do. Just lovely. Meghan armchair, £749, Harmony large pendant, £150, Marble side table, £150, Hays tapered gold fin mirror, £150 all John Lewis
More of a sugar pink but with a touch of sharpness to it looks fantastic on these shutters, and creates a backdrop to a modern desk. The grey chevron wallpaper adds interest and pattern. Classic wood shutters, from £159 sq.m. California Shutters in Pink Slip paint, Little Greene
A funky shaped, neat sofa in dusky pink is brought to life with a grey and pink geo rug, and mango wood furniture on thin legs. Grey and blue walls form the backdrop and pink vases and a floor lamp pick up the theme. Love the geo cushions too. Pamplona sofa, £1175, Kerala sideboard, £865, and coffee table, £119, Camille accent chair, £625 all Barker and Stonehouse
Ombre features often in my posts, just love it, and this is so subtle. The perfect backdrop to a gorgeous console table and a stylish chequerboard floor. Riccarda console table in gold, £675 Out There Interiors
Even kitchens get in on the act! Pink kitchen? Why not? Especially when its set against brilliant white to keep it sharp. Powder Pink from Keller Kitchens
This fantastic wallpaper has the feel good factor - as well as being an amazing pattern, its eco too. Its a bold choice that will really make an impact. Simple Things wallpaper, £150 for 3 rolls, Banbayu
