A Sprinkling of Silver Christmas Ideas
White and silver is such a classic combination at Christmas and always looks stylish. Here are a few ideas I styled when I was working at Woman & home
A simple idea but it looks really effective - just a pile of presents on an armchair. It helps that the chair has a lovely wintry tree design. Choose different wrapping paper designs, add silver and white ribbon, the odd bauble and sprigs of fresh foliage. That lovely paper with the Victorian style cakes is from Thornback & Peel thornbackandpeel.co.uk
This shot was in a hallway but would work anywhere - a collection of sparkly, silver items on a console table. A bowl of little gifts is a lovely idea to welcome guests or for them to take home when they leave. Find a similar bowl at notonthehighstreet.com
Another great idea for when guests arrive, ask them to write a small label with a message and sign it.
It helps if they have all studied calligraphy.......and a little tipple once they have done it. A mini real tree always smells lovely when guests come in too. graceandgloryhome.co.uk have pots similar to this
A shiny surface is the perfect backdrop for a collection of glass containers - little domes and bon bon jars, then all you need are some baubles, small animals and pin lights for a lovely composition lsa-international.com have bon bon jars like these and neptune.com or hm.com have glass domes. lights4fun.co.uk have a huge selection of lights
Wreaths are the must-have at Christmas and not only on the front door, they look great on mirrors like this too. Real or fake, add your own mini decs and lights, hang with a ribbon then choose some pretty accessories for the mantelpiece, candlesticks of course, thewhitecompany.com have them, tea lights and a little sprig of mistletoe
I love these glass Christmas trees, coxandcox.co.uk have them, and its so easy to make an arrangement with them. Fill them with whatever you have to hand or buy some special bits - these mini trees are gorgeous planted in fake snow, hobbycraft.co.uk sell it but fir cones or battery lights work just as well.
