Utility Rooms

When I bought my first grown-up house, I was thinking about the next one and what it would have in it. A wanted a conservatory, dishwasher and a utility room. Well, three houses on and I've got the dishwasher..... Sigh......one day I might have a utility room but until then I can dream - and share a few gorgeous designs with you This is the ultimate isn't it? You can imagine it being in a large country house. I just ADORE that marble sink and the old fashioned bib taps. A bank of cabinets with Shaker doors and a black worksurface and upstand. Plenty of space for airing clothes on a traditional Sheila-Maid and a shelf for pretty bits. Old earthenware jugs and vintage baskets complete the look

Get Some Kerb Appeal!

I haven't posted on the blog for a while, mainly because I have had a lot of work on, so apart from a re-post last week, I've been a bit lax. So, as I have some new followers, I thought I would get back to it and write a post about how you can spruce up the front of your house and get that all-important kerb appeal. It's essential if you are thinking of moving, but equally nice to have refresh if you aren't. Here's a few ideas..... Don't you just yearn to live in a house in a row like this?
